if you can get a usb3 hub + a little plug to convert power from a d-tap to the hub pin, you should be able to hook up at least 5 usb3 devices

met 3 fashion photographers over the weekend, after meeting scarlet they are all dying to get one now. guess i'll have to tell them this :)
it's a great lens, I do like the 100 macro, but the focus is a pain. If only Red would put out some kind of redmote pro to control canon lenses. It's the first time I used a 11-16mm tokina, I...
hi Peter,
I guess it's probably Vimeo, there was no noise in the footage. it was at 25 fps to be ready for european tv. There was a whole bunch of matted and painting people out shots, glad those...

I'm there on sunday, and of course at the supermeet
I wish they'd do that!!
they're gonna get a wrecking ball to take down the rest now :-) kind of like push
hey thanks, it was a super fast correction in Davinci resolve. just a little bit of curves and tone adjustment (some blue lift in the shadows and a counter yellow in the mids give a nice warm look)...
This was shot this afternoon on a scarlet 3k @48fps. The last part standing from the building was supposed to go down too.

there is an app for that 'flickerfree'
havent had the chance to try it yet though
I get failures when I set the master to full debayer on a macbook pro retina, so i'm stuck in half debayer. This is during render, not playback.
still getting the hang of grading things all together, but here's a video of our shoot in Thailand.

Martin, go have it sharpened at Canon CPS, I had mine done for free (24-105L love this one) right after I bought it.

ps from what I heard though the 24-70L is not the...
Recently we shot this project as part of the olympics series on nowness.com for director Bart Hess
All the stills were taken from the video as well, so I didn't have to bother with a second cam :)

just testing it now, right after learning a bit of 8. It's a lot more user friendly, but I do need to get used to drop downs for certain tools instead of buttons that are in sight. Also, is there any...
I like em, had em with me in my trip to Asia. Build quality isn't the best, but if you're a little careful it's fine. And they really come in handy when it starts raining.
are your clips at 100% size? might be a small bug, so you would only need to adjust the size of a clip and copy it to the others.
I couldn't wait to buy a new laptop (needed it for a job), so I got the 8GB version. So far I haven't run into any problems, 8GB seems to be more then enough.
Unless you're doing a lot of post...
We're in thailand (bangkok) right now doing a little fashion shoot for fun, but next week we'll be in koh chang.
No. And I prefer reliable media anyway. Compare redmags to SxS cards and the price isn't too bad.
Hi, i quite like the magenta colors. But I would say try using ND filters, and keep your shutter speed at 1/50 or 1/48. The staccato movement due to the high shutter doesn't fit the soft images.
ok atomos 3.0 is out, now we wait for them to work with RED to get file naming to work!
i found the 16-35 to be very soft, 24-105 is a great all purpose lens for the daylight. waiting for tokina to update their 11-16 for a wide lens this summer
I usually render out a nice 4k process 422 for safe keeping and render out a 1080 h.264 at around 10mbits for vimeo. Looks fine to me.
