I think 7K is more than enough to grab a cinema and 1 or 2 mini primes
(plus power, lcd and memory)
just sold my Canon XL2 for $2,000 (not bad, plus I made some great shorts and a feature film on it, served its purpose...BTW I paid only $2300 for it back in 2007, so not a bad loss)

yep thats what I heard too (from a person who would know these things, trust me)
I would say the cinema version COULD come out by early October...that's my best guess.
I just hope there is a possibility of this being late 2009 so I can get started on my follow up feature....but I rather wait for quality than get something now that's not finished.

anyway - hopefully the mini primes will be announced soon so we know which Scarlet will fit our needs better...personally I'll buy the Cinema...
I rather wait for a mini prime if I got a Cinema - I think for $3750 the fixed with complete kit is the one for me....you can always attach an adapter for a wide or telephoto look.

Well I have to shoot my next feature before 2010, so if the Fixed and the Cinema versions don't come out 'till the end of the year I might have to buy the S35 which is very likely to be out this...
