thanks, i missed that somehow...is it as up to date as the script that runs in the beta2 of the gui link that's posted?
hi dustin, i dont see a link for the command line version. if i try to extract the script from the app version and run it it fails. is there a link to the command line version?
thanks, great...
redcine will not give a fast import, it hasnt been updated in a long time and does not support selecting a specific resolution of dnx that will fast import.
rushes will support the fast import as...
here, here! happy new year, hey that rhymed a little...sweet.
the other way to do it is to put /Volumes/ in for the directory and monkey will search all volumes connected for r3d and index them

it's likely that the redalert package you installed did not install redline. this happened to me once and i ran a different redalert installer to get redline to install.
i am also interested if anyone has a target finishing system grid that would map optimum gamma and colourspace settings to the various finishing system scenarios.
dave
that would be very bad. the r3d have the metadata of the filenames burned into them and you would have a terrible time conforming. just scene and take it once imported into the avid through ale...
the camera proxies are set to mono tracks and will sum them accros tracks too, so you have to modify them in qt pro audio settings to be either left right or discreet 0 discreet 1
dave
im guessing from the camera proxies? if you use rushes you can select avid compatible audio. that still wont address that red wrappers are marking their audio tracks as mono mono. this is wrong...
also, ive found that red is writing their audio channels into the wrappers as "MONO" which will effectively mix the audio channels together from the wrapper within QT, is not issue with FCP but with...
i am getting about 2.5:1 with streamclip going to dnx36 from the H wrappers. so the input into avid is fast after the encode, i do not know the comparable prorez convert time.
the only...
feel free to call me i am currently impementing an avid workflow for a feature, there are a couple tweaks still need to be worked out by red and avid, but currently would provide a valid conform from...
as Michael P posted the streamclip method is proving to be the fastest. on 8core i am getting about 2.5:1 on the conversions, then the fast import is very quick. .2:1.
this method is way faster...
sorry, i'll still check it out and see how it goes here.
koedit, is this what you are trying to do and your results just below?
thanks

i can try this for you tomorrow, is this what you are trying to do (on a mac on unity i assume):
make ale with metacheat from the qtrefs
batch import the imported ale generated clips from r3d...
i just checked this out again, there are all 3 proxy qt available in the same path of the r3d, it's not working to make images
dave
you are right, i looked at the csv and all those values are 0.00000, i guess that was how the camera recorded them, these files came from last year.
dave
thanks thats fixed the path for the script.
i am unable however to get the add qt proxy to it to work or dont see what it is supposed to do, it does say however that "imported proxies"
i dont...
thanks very much, i'll try it in the morning.
how would you use it on a project by project basis, would you do a "save as" and keep each project as it's own redemption file? what might be a good...
i just tried this but having trouble with the source paths that the script is generating.
after scanning the computer, import the csv, i have a filename that shows as

redline seems to have limited codecs for qt transcode, do you know if it's possible to do QT transcode to Avid DNX codec with redline - if so it would be good to have it added to the dropdown...
this is great, thanks!
this is great,
when do you think your qt or dpx action might be ready to go?
thanks for this
dave
yes, windows RED QT codec is a must, and must come soon.
we use AVID for editorial and it is pretty cumbersome to have to use one of the only mac's here to redalert ref export, then import into...
