True, things like this will happen to some units. When you build thousands of units, some of them can have issues. Thats when it needs to be returned and replaced. This happens with ARRI and SONY...

The problems with the RedMote is just a know-how-to problem. The latest firmwire makes the RedMote easier to setup (automatic) and nobody complains.

why, you don't need a rocket, and if you do, why not buy the new one with three year guarantee? I would also guess that Red has learned and improved upon the original (DVS) Rocket...
