Definitely recommend looking into Apples refurbished section. Same warranty and guarantees, I always buy from there and have never regretted it.

I film a lot on the boat. Get yourself a big rain jacket and wrap yourself up in it with the camera and just have the lens peering out. You can easily cut some plastic that will fit over the camera...
