There are no plans by Supermicro to EOL the recommended system for some time. It remains the highest performing and most flexible system in our config guides.

Jake offers a good example of how through remote grading you can share your creative grading talent far further than your suite. I have been to dozens of facilities now that use remote grading every...
The published config guides are always a good place to start. We test a lot of configs and GPUs and publish what we know works. You can find links on the BMD forum.

We are pleased to announce DaVinci Resolve 10. For those of you unable to visit us at the south hall of NAB here is a list of new features. This is a no charge upgrade for existing customers and will...
I'm pleased to report we have just posted DaVinci Resolve 9.1.3 on our support web site. It includes general performance and stability improvements and for Mac OS X users support for the new FCPX...
Hi Paul, Cuda cores make a huge difference for image processing. I would recommend not using the Q4000 for anything other than a GUI GPU. Seriously consider Titan. Its early days for drivers but...
It sounds like you are using an ATI GPU and OS X 10.7.x, if so its a known GPU OS issue and an upgrade to 10.8.3 should work.
Peter
Just for confirmation, Resolve full and Resolve Lite use and offer the same conform functionality. If you have found an issue in one it will be in the other.
One hint to help chase your issue....

If you want to use your existing ATI card for GUI, which I guess is a 5770, that's fine. But it uses one motherboard power connector. Unless you plan on a expander, or rigging power from the spare...
Can you confirm the exact error message text? We can't read the thumb posted.
Btw, what GPUs do you have installed?
What is the firmware version installed?
Which version of Resolve?
Peter
You can build this system yourself. Just follow our config guide at the BMD support web site. We have this and bigger faster and hungrier beasts in our lab and listed in the guide too.
Peter
Mike, which area are you in? Who was the authorised reseller involved? Please Private Mail to me.
thanks
Peter
Just plug it in, put your GUI monitor on one GPU, nothing in the other. You can then check the use in preferences.
Peter
In you particulare example, are you setting the monitor scaling or render scaling?
Peter
Just a heads up guys. We don't test therefore can't certify AMD CPUs. All config guide recommendations are Intel.

Q4000 is a good UI card. Aside from other non standard config issues consider removing the hd4000, using q4000 for UI and getting a gtx690 for processing. That may nor solve your red decide issue but...
The Q600 is not suitable for stereoscopic 3d projects. Nothing to do with red files.

Please refer to the DaVinci Resolve config guides for Windows, Mac or Linux which are on our web support page and links from the BMD forum.

Make sure your r3d decode is also set to 10 bit.
They are on our support web site or linked from the BMD forum.
Hi, im afraid it gets back to the config guides. We test, document and publish them so there are known configs that do work. We do our best when they are not followed but its challenging to diagnose...
They work correctly. Change your timeline res to 4k, not the render res, for best results.
Peter
Try setting your timeline resolution.. not the output res.
4096x2304 for 16:9 or 4096x 2048 for 2:1
