I'd probably pay $13,000 for a proxy module that record off-speed shots. I suspect i'm not alone. Too bad it can't be done.

And, AFAIK, that's also the only option possible for off-speed shots using the Meizler. Correct?
You need about 10% vision to see the problems.
No excuses for time delays, IMHO.
People shouldn't have to work with it in its current state, impeding the ability to get the best images from the camera, in a real world setting. It shouldn't wait...
Posted where?
The OLED EVF on display at the Red Store Hollywood ( plugged into a PRO I/O, with an LCD also on the camera) looks like crap, IMHO.
Please, can someone from Red please take a look at it, then report...
A gel can't fix the problems.
You should probably try that solution before you endorse it.
Also, a quality monitor is of much more importance than any other peripheral module or accessory. ...

From around the time the Red Pro EVF was released.
With respect, Jim, if the image available in this...
That was the OLED.
Given that the EVF doesn't display the full dynamic range of the MX sensor (crushed shadows), I wonder how it will cope with the Dragon.
Put the camera into Luma Ramp Test mode and check the shift in warmth/tint across the screen, and then look at the dark area on the left. Compare the banding to another monitor. even one worth just...
So, Did anyone see this? I can't find a poster in this thread reporting that they did.
There's a right angle already on the included cable... But have another cable wrapping around the camera, in the most vulnerable spot?
Whatever.
Wrote this in another thread:

Why the f$$$ does the HD-SDI IN cable need to go all the way across the camera, screwing all the other ports? What not connect on the left?

Jarred are all those max frame rates for 2.40:1?
Any word on the interface for this module?
How do we play back a clip?
User-assigned buttons?
Is there any way at all to record varispeed via playback of the r3d?
That would require a 4k feed...
Jarred- no ISO spec?
Something that can access the data on the side SSD to process files when the Camera is not recording, (to deal with varispeed shots) is what would fill my needs!
Jarred what's the workflow for varispeed shots?
Well, the one on a display camera at the Red Store Hollywood looks just like yours.
Set up on a pro IO with an LCD also on.
The problems are obvious.
Have a look at the luma curve test signal. Notice the black band on the left, where there should be shadow detail.
Bump... Anyone within a drive that I can get to today, or even LA. I'll drive that far today to pick one up, if needed.
It's an epic riser that I need. WC or viewfactor....
