There is a very easy work around for this thanks to Clipfinder.

Export XML of edit using Red Rushes media
Import XML to Clipfinder, replace mov with R3D
Copy selected R3D to new folder
Use Log...

Why export DPX? You have 12 bit RGB 444 in Color?

And it works! Grade in 12 bit RGB at 2k. Pretty Awesome.
