haha. oh man that sucks. that sounds like the usual scenario in Los Angeles. though a lot of shooters fear it like the plague, and rightfully so. i feel my patience wearing thin these days. to the...
nice one Bjorn. definitely. one thing you'll learn after spending so much time shooting in LA is that there is definitely a filmic language that encapsulates this city. and once you learn it, you...
thanks Jules and Mike.
I use the Dynamic Perception System. it's extremely light, and super fast to setup plus i get around 6 feet of travel which gives the awesome change in perspective.

yeah cops are actually pretty cool on the streets. it's the building security guards that are ridiculous. they will actually try to convince you that what you are doing is illegal, even if the cops...
nice. yeah i rigged the system about 25 ft over the freeway. one of the most insane moves i've ever attempted. glad you liked it.
RG
thanks guys.
Kemalettin i used a Merlin pan/tilt head. or a celestron skywatcher. sort of the same thing.

hey guys, just wanted to post my new reel on here.
it's all time-lapse. there is not much R3D Scarlet footage
in there as i would like but i've only used the camera a
few times now. see...
just wanted to let people know i'll be posting some R3D's on here soon.
been having a difficult time, wanted you guys to have a crack at it see
what you come up with.

sure Ron. that's a great view. i'm trying to get a place w/ the LA skyline for a view. :smile5:
but i'm almost finished writing an article regarding my experience, most of my thoughts
will be...
hey kevin,
the d|p rail can definitely take the weight of the scarlet. even the redone.
as far as shooting vertical, it becomes difficult using the pan/tilt head but if
you use an ordinary...
if you would've dragged the shutter you would've gotten a better exposure.
great idea for a test location ;) i guess i don't need to post my R3D's after-all.
RG
hey Mike. was going to post the clips on vimeo. but sure, mine as well. as soon as get things
organized and do some basic c.c. i'll post up some R3D's if anyone wants to check them out.
all...
oh yes!! awesome. thanks Bruce.
exposure setting is not the same as your f-stop.
exposure is a menu setting. with sub-menus.
read the manual!
hmm. interesting. i'm not sure what build it was, Michael might be able to chime in.
the Exposure setting is disabled in the current Scarlet build. in the manual it just says that it is currently unavailable.
thanks so much for the opportunity Michael, i wasn't sure if you wanted me to mention
your name but yes!! Michael Moreno is the awesome Reduser member that invited me
to participate in this...
thanks so much for the comments and links. reduser community rocks!! here's a couple more pics.

Griffith Park Observatory. one of...
thats exactly right Tor. maybe somewhere down the line the Scarlet will be able to integrate with the MX 2 controller, but for now i use continuous mode and just make sure the move is slow enough as...
hey mike. i use the Celestron Skywatcher. Merlin is kind of slang for pan/tilt head.
that combined with the MX 2 and i can have three axis of movement as long as the
"scope" feature is...
hey all!
this is actually my first thread. to date i haven't shot too much with the R3D cameras
but i've been familiar with the RAW workflow for over a year now. first off, thanks to
the...
what about the fact that Jeff is so inspired by Sven?
i mean, to see what he did with S.N.? this is going to
be something very special. sort of like a tribute. even
though in reality, every...
great contribution. i like this thread.
very much looking forward to the description of the process. thanks bruce. and thanks lowe.
