Yes the monitor feed needs a flip&flop function for a single mirror loupe to work, but I’m sure that is on Red’s todo list. Or a box of wiskey with Jarreds name on it might work.

Get a drill, and a thread tap and make two extra 1/4 -20 UNC holes in the bottom of the chinstrap.
If using it as a viewfinder camera then to me 2 small canon batteries would work really well. Dont want s big v lock back there as it would get heavy and also up in the face. With the phone in the...
Any word on image flip/flop for the onbard screen? Just a rough sketch for now but you get the idea. A rubbery loupe with adjustable focus in the back and a 45 deg mirror in the front.

My few cents. I owned 2 digital filmprinters back in the days. And sure do the tests, but the money spent going the print way instead of a DCP will improve your imagery more if you poor it into good...
As written above. Likely you have more struggle with it then without. And only for dragon and earlier cameras. But if having such then the SDI out of the rocket is handy to have if not having a 4k...
Now why would you need 16bit out on the SDI, are you going to record it? If so why record it, its colorbaked 16 bit if doing so. Better to use the r3d in camera. Also there is no 16t bit screens so...
Camera should not brick from a lens swap. It should not brick from short fusing the pins of the mount or adapter. Thats not according to my experience. Never turned camera of to swap a lens and used...
Seams odd alexa has no global shutter. Are you sureyou did not just have luck with the interference when testing the alexa. I doubt it has any less flicker problems than monstro.
Also motion mount...
A cable hanging from the balanced part of the gimbal kind of ruins the balance. Is it possible to feed the RS2 power up trough the handle, trough the arms of the gimbal?
They drag more power than komodo output so I doubt that will happen.
Yes anyone with a soldering iron a bit of guts and the right connectors could. But not sure how many Amps the motor is pulling and what happens if it asks for more than 500mA...
I dont know if its recomended but atleast in theory you could drive a tilta noctilus nano on the aux port. It will not be as strong as if it had more voltage and Amps but should as I understand work...
Yes but the ND turrent revolva comes with makes all the difference.
Why go with RF mount? The mount is not sturdy enough so you will likly need rods and lens suport. Feels easier / better then to use a suported PL mount, no?
Tested the Komodo Revolva today. Just fantastic as the Dsmc2 iteration. The chin strap is great. Lot of mounting options and nice to keep on camera even if switching to EF.
I only have DSMC2 Revolva. Have not tested the Komodo version of it. But yes, as of now I don't see that Kipertie has any kind of competition. having 3 filters and clear class on a wheel is the best...
If shooting in the light conditions as the image in this thread. Low light, not much light, like soon to be winter its almost like shooting black and white, the higher contrast and the more open your...
No.
Iso is digital gain on the captured image, it has no effect on the capture and can be adjusted in post just as saturation or any other post parameter.
Its a nice camera but dont put too much into it. Quickly you will spend a lot of money that could have bought you a smaller / more modern camera.
But yes, the HDD media solution works well. Roy...
Easter Enterprise.
Some of my rebuilt FD´s has extreme close focus range, like into the barrel of the lens and they cover FF.

Side note.
Does anyone know if its possible to make an adapter going from RF mount to DSMC mount? In other words is the DSMC mounts mounted further away from the sensor than RF flange distance?...
Agree with Christoffer. We done tons of low budget commercials on cruse ships between Sweden and Finland. The light on boats like that is terrible, lot of low level strange energy saving spotlights...
Yes its natural that the image improve the MTF and quality of the image in such sense that the projection get more concentrated. But you also introduce more corner softness and other oddities as you...
