I see the Dragon sensor is loose and being upgraded on site at NAB - is there any footage from the new sensor demonstrating the image / DR etc?
Thanks all.
Sounds a bit like this:

Incorrect on the bar scene.
Deakins forum from Roger Deakins:
"I was lucky with that bar scene as we had some cloud cover for a few hours in the morning and the wide silhouette shot came in...
Best of luck with the search - I spent a couple of years trying to find an 18mm. They are out there though.
And bring two mirrors too.
Try the Tessive time filter. Works as a variable no-IR ND between 2 and about 7 stops and can also act as a global shutter.
Looking forward to seeing some images from the camera. The much increased DR is very exciting news.
Got it - thanks. Looks nice.
Of course, but the cameras ability to render colour, dynamic range and general image feel can be limiting factors. It is simply not possible to get some systems to look like, for example, Django...
@Matt. No link to the 5d footage.
Yeah, the Terabyte attack in Jurassic Park was crap until the Petabyte showed up. Then I was terrafyd.
Rip Felix Unger and Waring Hudsucker.
I hate to disagree with you but here in PAL land tons of stuff is on at 50i and originated at 50i. We have HFR every day - have done for years. I appreciate some people like it and some people don't....
That's fair enough.
Deep DoF can be lovely though. I'd be less inclined towards it on digital personally at the moment as I feel we have enough to do to de-digitalise the image from current...
Possibly due to the higher ticket prices for HFR? Just speculating.
I suspect what Bill may be referring to is the TV style coverage that so many recent films embrace (wide shots on wide lenses, now swing a long lens from the same position to get the close ups -...
This is being pedantic. If you look at my post I say "part of the video look". Also "looking shit" is a personal value judgement not an absolute. By it I mean if you want your sets to look cheap,...
This is incorrect: 60i is not the same as 30fps - It depends on the mechanism of the capture device - if the camera is recording in temporally distinct fields then it is sending an image to your eye...
Trailer converted into 48fps - I can't imagine it looks much different from this - just in stereo.

Hi Michael. I find HMI's (while full spectrum) suffer from horrendous temperature change as the bulbs near the end of their life - skewing along the green/magenta axis and colour temperature -...
Haven't seen it yet but I suspect that it's a further extension of the issue I have been posting about lately with electronically photographed cinema - being constantly dragged out of the drama and...
It'll be a while before something replaces the full spectrum and wonderful brute force of an Arrimax18 I would say - but for close up work these emerging technologies are very interesting for their...
Not sure about the colour accuracy but the idea of independently dimmable and modular snap-together grids that could be made into any-size-you-like millimetre thick panels that could disassemble into...
