I'm pretty sure they are the best ones to help solve this issue.
The one I had a year ago that is looking VERY similar was clearly happening...

yes, sharpening and any other signal processing should be off on "consumer" monitors, including those nasty "dynamic contrast" adjustments....

You should fill at ticket with RED. I never had one myself but some user of my R3D cataloging app had issues with those 'ghost' clips from FW 4.x and I fixed my app so it could identify those instead...

are they all very small clips like under 200 Kb ?

How big (or small) is the R3D file size ?
