Saw Star trec in both 3d and 2d... Was laughing to myself as most of the time i had my glasses off and there was no 3d at all, only on some selected shots.

For me... For ease of watching 2d. ...

Our side by side tests we did a while back showed the Sony winning in most areas... Global shutter, Sharpeness (which was equalled by a smidge of unsharp mask) Dynamic range I'd say by maybe a 1/2...

Your correct... "THE PRO'S" dont really work this way, most people I know still build there cameras up to huge proportions... But mainly because a lot of DP's want there cameras built this way. ...

I think because they are playing HD content on it and wanting it to look sharper and cleaner than the HD TV sitting next to it with the same feed.
And with a drastic shortage of 4k content and 4k...

Crappy little Canon lenses are certainly punching above there weight for me image wise, Price wise, let down only...
