After receiving our first Epic X two weeks ago, second Epic X has arrived. Our second allocation was for #2916 Red One. Surprising how fast Epic X are coming out. Now we have two Epic X and one Epic...
I believe Sim has one (or more) already. We are still missing EVF and battery kit.
We are waiting for base plate and etc.
Hoping to start to test next week. Once test is done on to second Epik M.
Epik M has arrived.
Shockingly beautiful camera and premium you have to pay is definitely worth it.
Thank you Red!
This improvement is so significant! Fantastic! My prayer has been answered. Way to go Red!
Japanese were notorious on wrong spelling on their camera owner's manuals. They always mixed up Ls and Rs.
On the eve of General Election, Japanese Prime Minister says to his cabinet member...
This is not absurd at all. In Metric world this is typo. Wrong spelling. You might not think so but it is. I think just 85,100 and etc. will be suffice.
More important issue is visual ergonomics....
Joseph it is a very good call that you decided to put Mitchell Plate first.
Yes it was my typo. 150mm not 190mm. sorry
Your website states Gear Nex comes with 190mm ball. Mitchell base as future accessary. When are you planning to come out with Mitchell base? All my support systems are Mitchell base. I have ordered...
when high end digital camera backs came into picture for high end advertising
photography many photographer said digital will never be as good as film.
It was only five years ago. Today you will...
Indeed all T/S works fine now. I have dozen lenses and only lens failed to work was 85mm f1.2
I got my Canon mount and started testing. Lenses I was most interested were 24mm T/S
45mmT/S and 90mmT/S all perspective control lenses. Aperture do not work on those lenses. Focusing is o.k....
I have loaned out pro service lenses 24mmT/S PC and 45mmT/S PC from Nikon Canada to test out and indeed it is electronic aperture and stays wide open and can not stop down. However you can...
Can you elaborate more on 24mm T/S Nikon lens problem? Is this new lens or old lens. Whole new set of T/S lens 24,45,85mm was developed by Nikon.
I know old 85mm T/S Nikon works fine, I...
your question are based on
1:you have fantastic script.
2:you are very good director.
3:you are very good film producer.
4:you will learn DOPing and editing really fast.
if you can say...
point is you can shoot long exposure time lapse now with DSLR. You don't have to wait for Build 17,18,19 or 20.
Ease of set up for the shoot? 35mm DSLR is lot easier to set up. Editing is as easy as...
If you want to make time lapse with long exposure, why don't you use Canon DSLR. With their software and laptop you can make any combination of exposure and timing. I own 2 Red camera and many Zeiss...
we are shooting 4 spots this month using Red.
I am Japanese director cameraman buying American designed and made Red Camera.
My camera will be delayed. I'm in mid air jumping up and down waiting for Red to arrive in front of my studio....
Mine is #1906 and #270? end of April and mid July. w/zoom lenses. Nikon mount and Canon mount from Birger.
We are planning to spend 6 - 12 month to bring up to speed using Red. May be Scratch. I am not saying Red is answer to everything at this point. Once implemented Red will give us...
Chuckt vs fanboy bickering is ridiculous! Guys it's very simple business decision. If it make sense, buy it. if not don't buy it. For me it was no brainer.
We bought two. I am a director cameraman...
ordered on January 18, 2008 Asked to charge full amount. No reply. Not charged yet.
This is the problem I was talking about in my last post "Bad Flare". I find this serious and fundamental problem. This does not happen with every camera. Not on Viper, not on Sony 950 nor Panasonic....
It's not the equipment. It's how you use it! Buying the Red will make you very tech savvy guy (may be) but never good story teller just because you have big equipment.
