Hi Derek,
When it comes to dealing with raw material, get the most you can.
Reason is that raw files like RED are compressed files which need to be first decompressed by the CPU before being sent...
Hi Jonny,
Just to be sure, let's take the "regular" steps:
- Have your construct in 1080 (deliverables resolution)
- Ensure all shots (assuming RED Dragon) have RED Resolution set to "Project"...
Seen at NAB: BlueFish444 offers Epoch Neutron 4K + SCRATCH (permanent) bundle at US$ 2 995,00.
Available thru all BlueFish resellers.
Hi Jeremy,
Haven't tried myself but i suppose it should be fine if you have an external switcher, then select the source in Scratch.
If you give it a try, please post feedback here.
Cheers

Maybe it's here
Martin,
cs_mappings is automatically created in the user folder when you customize your mapping. So no need to copy any file into the user folder.
Btw, Assimilate support is also available on...
Martin,
Why are you not connecting with Assimilate support ?
This is RED workflow forum and the current issue has nothing related with RED.
Please, as said earlier, send a logfile to support,...
Hi Martin,
EUControl is still installed ?
Ensure only MC color is activated in the preferences.
Use the same Scratch user as before.
If it still fails, send a logfile to support@assimilateinc.com...
I remember tests done in Scratch using 4 or 5 RR cards to handle stereo Epic footage when the Epic was released a few years ago.
Nowadays Scratch v8.x can use either RR cards, RR-X card or the RED...

Hi to all,
Just a few comments about the posts i saw in this thread:

Hi Mike and all,
P2 MXF files can be loaded directly in Scratch using the Codec Support Pack (CSP).
Latest available is 080 which also contains improvements on
Canon "C500" .rmf
Cinema DNG "BMD"...
Hi John,
Yes this is the default behavior.
As already replied in Creative Cow Assimilate Scratch forum, there are many ways to "group" shots for grading (ie: using the Tray or the Memory buttons). ...
Javier,
In Construct 1, do a Ctrl+A to select all the offline shots, then enter Media Browser (selected shots should be highlighted) and use "Find Media" in the "Files" tab.
Hope this helps....
Victor,
Do you have clearance from Assimilate on this ?
I don't see any mention of the maintenance.
Cheers
Daniel
Hi Lou,
It should work properly, unless it was a bug in 6.0. But i can confirm it works as expected in 6.1.
Perhaps you should upgrade and give it a try ?
Cheers,
Daniel
About "thinking": A good start would be to understand that there are smarter ways to deal with softness on Scaffolds in general and bi-cubic shapes.
Try the Scaffolds\Masks menu, create one or...
Just digged into my archives:
XYZ 2.6 gamma
The Digital Cinema specifications are often referring to a 2.6 gamma. When applied to XYZ

Martin,
We can't help without even knowing whch version/build # you use.
Or connect with support.

Hi Martin,
The quickest and easiest way is to use the "De-Construct" added in 6.1.
Otherwise the MediaBrowser is your friend :-)

Daniel
Willy,
Again, you clients can see "graded" images. Just keep in mind grading is metadata. If you want to export to any file, you need to apply that grade to the actual image to create that file,...
Forgot to add: The main purpose of HTML export is to allow remote approvals; notes updates, LUT exports etc.
Again, what you saw is just an example of what can be done. Just like Scratch2Nuke is...
Hi Willy,
Scratch is "open". You can get in the HTML export whatever you want.
If you export graded images, then you need to ensure your client will have his web browser on a calibrated display :-)...
