... The Alpha 4k was powered by Filmgear v3 ballast.

Lots off 300 fps here. I used k5600 alpha 4k and jokers 800 and Arri 1800. No flicker problems.

Controlling the exposure through different methods will give the same noise if the same amount of light gets to the sensor at the end. The differences will be of the character of the method....

Thank you Mike. The flicker is probably from the overhead fluorescents that were working and not from the 1k. This was really a 5 minutes test :)

400 fps start to look really slow! kind of getting into 1000 fps territory

Very nice. Did you use lighting? looks very natural(in a good sense), some interior look lit but sometimes it takes most lights to get things to look natural.
