+1!
Well sure they are approved, yes Carey is right, they have been checked all along. If you slap the PL mount on a Scarlet it'd work. You'd have some massive crop factor to deal with if it stays...
That is definitely a cheap option. Because of all the mounting holes on the Scarlet (I'm presuming they'll still be there) you could easily so a mic and a light.
Or you could: Edit > Preferences > General > Default Scale To Frame Size
That way, you don't have to manually do it to every clip, and if you feel the need to punch in, just Right-Click and un-check...
I hope you choose to announce a few minutes after Canon finishes. With Red's "Attitude" and naming conventions, I feel like Cannon will be making a "Shot heard 'round the world" announcement. Then...
uh.....
You guys are killing with the updates.
Funny/Strange side note: Jim, do you intentionally list the features very fluidly, or do the stars just align for you when you type.
Exhibit A (RCX-Pro B1)...
Hey Mark, I live in a small town. Say I do a little of both (once I get my Scarlet/Epic), meaning rental isn't the main thrust, or the focus, but a nice way to keep the camera working and bring in a...
This just got me even more excited for my Scarlet purchase! How cool is it that the thing I've been drooling over for years, probably the only other thing I'll own (other than my house) is made right...
Ketch, must be quite a burden to own a camera that "requires ENDLESS updates". Heh Heh
That line in Guenter's post literally made me LOL, because that is what the people in that thread were...
I think Kalani is referencing the current Scarlet as the "Scarlet II" I also remember reading, and getting psyched about the first rumblings of the "pocket cam" that would be called "Scarlet" and it...
I remember seeing a video a few years back for a Lightroom "Panel" (3rd party). I'm sure Adobe would have the ability to integrate support for panels in a "Lighroom for Video" program
Hey Jim, I remember a while ago (maybe a year or so ago) rumblings that your alma mater wasn't up for having you back for speaking about business. I'm sure there are a TON of people here who'd like...
Does anyone know if dual gpu cards (GTX 590) would (I guess "theoretically" since we don't know yet) work? If so you could pack a bunch of cards in and have double the gpu's per card.
Unless I read it wrong, it looks like the chapter describing the three different options (Lite, Software, Control Surface) points to being able to build your own Linux box...or am I reading it wrong?...

The RED ARMY of the 21st Century
I guess it depends on if the RED Mini-Prime mount for the Scarlet Cinema is the same dimensions as the Epic mounts. If so, then it's "four screws."
I guess we'll find out when we find out (with the...
So when you said be prepared to stay up late tonight is that to:
a) Play with RedCINE-X Pro
b) Stay tuned for more exciting posts (or are those coming in September)
c) BOTH a and b
I wonder if we'll go over the 16K on December 31, 2010
Which is why I'm wondering if three devices running to hit refresh is a bad idea or a good one.

Fitting
Where we're going, we don't need roads.
Well, I'll be ready for Win7 (Or 8 depending on when it's available) version of Storm when it's ready.
