The Pro Line uses industry standard connections for the arm to socket block and I think also on the Gimball end. If this is true, it seems an advantage to this system would be the ability to swap to...
Yep, David is the man! He has acted with objectivity, discernment, patience and integrity from post 1. He organized this thread and has put a tremendous amount of effort and time into it that he...
The Proline system looks much better in it's specs than the others, but a solid demo by an experienced steadi-op would be invaluable. Additionally, feedback is needed from more than one Proline...
Hi Glenn,
Sent a PM regarding the V mount.
Thx,

Chosei,
I'm interested and I pmed you. If anyone else knows, is there any difference in sensor coverage compared to the Pro 17-50?

Yeah the 9" touch would be a great monitor. To some extent it might become a sail though depending on your speed or the wind. Have you looked at the Transvideo monitors? Don't think I could afford...
Nice mods Dave!
Got a question on the TVLogic monitor. Do you find it is bright enough for you? Does the screen cover help with glare at all? I have a 9" TVLogic which I love for indoor studio...
Steve's answer was excellent and dead-on as always. I agree with every observation.
Adrain, I wouldn't call the camera counter-intuitive, but I have never thought it was what I'd call intuitive...
In the Southeast market, I have heard a remarkable number of ACs complain about the R1 and Epic. Enough that I have wondered if the AC's complaints were job-security related. That is, if the...
That is a good head. I have one and it has supported my R1 with heavy zoom quite well. The R1 fully equiped is pushing it's weight limit, but it is perfect for an Epic or Scarlet.
I posted this question elsewhere but it wasn't getting much attention. I thought I'd try a new thread.
A few months ago, I added a Red 50-150mm zoom (discontinued) to my lens options. Its...
Anyone else have an idea if the lens is threaded and if so, what size?
Is the 50-150mm Zoom threaded for screw in filters? If not, any suggestions for who to send one to that can attach a screw on filter ring?
Woohoo! Thanks Red team. Been shooting some multicam with R1 MXs and Epics. This will make a huge difference!!!
I forget that VV's maximum neg size is 1.5. I have never shot full frame VV. Most early VV cameras had a useable area of 36mm x 18.3mm yielding around 1.96. I shot a bit of VV (this was before DI...
The dimensions of the sensor were listed as 30.7mm x 15.8mm. Depending on what ends up being utilized, this looks closer to VistaVision aspect ratio. Nothing wrong with that in my book. : )

Has anyone used SlowMotion Inc.? Last I checked, they sent lenses overseas to be serviced.
Thanks for the info Kip. Good to hear they work on Square Fronts.
All the best,
lael
Rick,
How was your experience at Slowmotion?
Having worked with a fair share of Lomos over the years I know exactly what Matt Duclos is so accurately describing. That said, I have some precious Lomo anamorphic glass I need fine tuned. Can...
Bump. I need one too.
Can anyone reccomend a good shop to service Lomos in the US? Last time I asked, Duclos doesn't service Lomos anymore.
I am reluctant to send my glass back to Russia for service.

My 5.6" LCD is dying and I need to replace it. Thinking of staying with Red, but interested in advice on other monitors too. Looking for a low mileage Red Pro LCD either 5.6" or preferably 7".

Just a followup, thanks Tehben for the great packing job!
